BNE has employed a remote asset management system that uses satellite technology to track the position and speed of every tanker truck in the BNE fleet.

From BNE's state-of-the-art control room, technicians monitor the fleet from the time they leave the Central Gathering Facility at Iguana Creek to when they arrive at the Storage and Export Facility at Big Creek. Control room technicians can pinpoint the location of each tanker on the route as well as the speed at which the tanker is traveling. Automatic alerts are issued to the control room if a tanker goes over the speed limit or does not arrive at the port within a certain timeframe.

This technology is uniquely designed for oil and gas logistics systems and is currently the only system of its kind in Belize.
